HTVRONT Auto Heat Press

If you’re looking for a reliable heat press that can handle all your personal crafting or craft business needs the HTVRONT Auto Heat Press might be just the thing!

I’ve been using heat presses for a good 10 years or so and have had a chance to try out and test a wide range of machines designed for both commercial and personal use.

I’m not too fussy in what I look for in any machine I use (be it a heat press or a sewing machine), as long as it does what it’s built to do in a safe and practical way I’m pretty happy.
Practicality and safety have been one of the main issues I’ve seen with heat presses in the past, whether it be through badly designed swing arm presses that take up a ton of space or heat presses with metal casing that gets dangerously hot, so I was very intruiged to see how this new machine would fare.

HTVRONT Auto Heat Press Product Review

Let’s start by looking at the main features of the HTVRONT Auto Heat Press:

Main Features

Auto Heat Press Plate

The HTVRONT Auto Press features a spacious 15 x 15 inch pressing plate, which is more than enough space for the majority of projects most crafters would look to tackle. The pressing plate pulls out on drawer-style runners from underneath the heating plate meaning your hands never have the chance of accidentally getting burnt.

Fully Automatic Operation

The HTVRONT Auto Press is fully automatic. Once you’ve added your project to the pressing plate, you slide it back in and the rest of the process is fully automated by the touch of one button. This feature is especially handy for those who are new to heat pressing or who have a large amount of pressing to do in one session. The easy automation solves the hassle of constantly having to monitor your machine and ensures that your finished project is of the same quality each time.

Smart Pressure Transducer

The HTVRONT Auto Heat Press also features an industry-first advanced pressure transducer. This allows the machine to auto-adjust the preassure applied to your item (up to 2.5cm/1 inch thick) to give a good and even press. This can save on a lot of the guess work that can sometimes come with pressing projects and it also will automatically release the preassure once the pressing timer has reached zero.

Timed Shutdown Function

The timed shutdown function is another great safety feature that automatically shuts down the machine when there has been no activity/use for 10 minutes.

Heats up to 210°C (410°F)

The HTVRONT Auto Press heats up to 210°C (410°F), which gives you the option to use a whole range of materials such as iron-on (HTV), Infusible Ink & sublimation projects. It also has a quicker heating up time than most other heat presses and is able to get to 210℃ in just 6 minutes.

Whats In the Box?

The HTVRONT Auto Heat Press comes well packaged to protect from damage and is easy to lift out of the box. Inside the box you will find the Auto Heat Press, a 15″x15″ heating mat, a 16″x20″ teflon sheet and instruction booklet.

My Thoughts

The first thing that stood out to me about the HTVRONT Auto Heat Press was the well thought out and practical design of having the pull out drawer pressing plate. It makes organising and layering intricate designs much easier and there is less chance of accidentally knocking something out of place or alignment as you go to bring the pressing plate down. The design looks sleek and it takes up far less space (when you account for the actual heat press and work area you’d need) on my craft bench than other models of heat press I have previously used.

I really can’t find anything bad to say about this press, the only slight issue I’ve encountered with it is pretty specifc to me and one particular project I work on.

Pros

  • Size of the pressing area – The generously sized pressing plate give more than enough space to tackle a whole range of projects.
  • Ease of use – The Auto Heat Press is so easy to use, it really helps to take the stress out of pressing, you just choose a preset or set your own temp and timings and you’re good to go.
  • Weight of the machine – Considering the size of the machine it is relatively lightweight (compared to other large heat presses I have used) and easy to maneuver around my work space.
  • Ready to go out of the box – The heat press couldn’t be easier to set up. You take it out of the box, plug it in and you are ready to get started.
  • Quiet – The Auto Heat Press is nice and quiet compared to other heat presses I have used, it beeps when it needs to and doesn’t create any nosie otherwise.
  • Great value for money – The level of quality this machine gives for the price really is unbeatable.

Cons

  • Can’t make manual adjustments to the pressure – This would likely be a non-issue for a lot of crafters as the automatic preassure settings cover pretty much anything you could need them for.
I only have a slight issue with it as I press a lot of HTV designs on to waterproof fabric (to make outdoor cushion covers) which can sometimes need two presses at varying levels of preassure to make sure it’s all fully adhered. Luckily I’ve found an easy way around this, I use the Auto Heat Press to do the initial press and then use a mini handheld press to go over any bits that may need some extra work.
