Budget Friendly Blending Board (aka my fibre craft Holy Grail!)

If you love crafting and have dabbled in fibre-based projects, you’ve probably heard of blending boards and how useful of a tool they can be.

I got into hand spinning yarn completely by accident but it has quickly become one of my new favourite handicrafts. When I started trying to learn more about the different fibres used in hand spinning, I had all kinds of videos pop up showing people making custom blends of fibre in wonderful colours and interesting textures by using blending boards and drum carders.

Being the jump-in with both feet crafter that I am, I of course then went to research how much tools like this would cost me.
Needless to say, I was more than a little disappointed when I found that even the most basic drum carder was way more expensive than I expected and the blending boards available from reputable UK suppliers were also out of my budget at over £120 as a minimum.

Imagine my surprise when I was having a search on Etsy recently (doing some research for an upcoming blog post) and I saw a UK Etsy shop with a fabulous range of supplies for all kinds of fibre crafting who had also just released a blending board set for under £70!

This was a much more comfortable price range for me, so I treated myself to purchasing one and have been busy testing it out so that I can share my full review of it.
